this journey started in a surprising place: a casual challenge from one of my best friends. At the end of 2022, she suggested we sign up for a 5k road race every month. I could barely run a mile, but I said yes — and that decision changed everything.

Through discipline, small adjustments, and shared accountability, we didn’t just complete those 5ks. We’ve gone on to run multiple 10ks, and now, nearly three years later, I’m preparing for my first half marathon.
